Spring Almond Blossoms

The Almond Orchard are in bloom this time of year and I just had to make the trip out to see them. I was seeing photos all over social media and couldn’t believe how beautiful they looked!

The next weekend I was able to, I packed my bags and headed that direction for an overnight trip. My Grandmother lives in the Central Valley of Northern California and has a couple of acres of almond orchards on her property. So it was the perfect opportunity to visit and also take some photos :)

I left Saturday morning, I stopped at my favorite coffee shop on the way. Journey Coffee in Fairfield. They have amazing coffee and food. I got a lavender oat milk late with a caprese sandwich and two homemade pop tarts to go. Their pop tarts are amazing. Today they had a Nutella and a Brown Sugar cinnamon.

It took another hour and half to arrive to my destination. I had to cross over three small bridges. Two I got stuck at and had to wait for boats to cross underneath. It was neat being first to stop before the bridge. I was able to watch part of the bridge lift up to let the boat fit through.

Finally I made it, I started passing orchards filled with blossoms. They looked beautiful. Almost as if it had just snowed. There were so many blossom orchards. It was unbelievable.

I arrived at my grandma’s house and had to start exploring and taking photos in the orchards. It was a bit cloudy and a little chilly. I always come prepared with a warm jacket anywhere I go.

I started exploring the almond blossoms orchards. The air smelled sweet like honey. You could hear the steady hum of the swarming bees pollinating all of the flowers.

I couldn’t believe how many blossoms were blooming. It was so beautiful and fun to take my own photos in :)

I will definitely be going back next spring.
