Otherworld Exibit

We spent the last week in Ohio. Half of the time was spent in Cleveland and the other in Columbus. While in Columbus, I was looking for things to do when I came across an article that mentioned the Otherworld Exhibit. The photo posted in the article looked pretty neat so I wanted to check it out.

We met one of my best friends there. It had been 8 years since I last saw her. So it was fun that she was able to join us.

We were already staying in Columbus. So the drive to the Otherworld exhibit was only about 30 minutes. I put the directions in my phone and we headed there.

The Otherworld Exhibit was located in this abandoned mall shopping center. The parking lot was huge. And it was empty. Very eerie. There were a few cars in the parking lot in front of Otherworld, but other than that the entire parking lot was empty.

I thought to myself… this is kind of sketchy.

We showed the workers our tickets and headed inside. It was a self guided exhibit, so you were able to take your time which was nice. It was also an interactive exhibit which was fun. There were buttons that would play music, videos you could watch and other things.

It was really quiet. We only saw maybe 10-15 other people. The exhibit was huge! I’, sure we missed some of the rooms because there was so many. There was no map or direction for us. So we just wandered around. The lights and the music was amazing. You really felt immersed inside of another world.

There were rooms that took you into outer space, to other planets. And other rooms that took you into the sky, walking on top of clouds.

My favorite rooms had glowing lights that flashed different colors, with mirrors all along the walls that made the room look endless.

You could easily spend hours here. Sitting down and experiencing each room to its full intent. You could press buttons, open drawers, explore anything you wanted to. Depending on the room, they have soft chairs that you could sit down in, in some rooms, the floor was even soft enough to lay down. (we did not though)

I am going to keep this post short, I don’t want to spoil it for you :)
